The California State Fair began the Commercial Craft Brewing competition in 1993. Since
that humble beginning, the competition has grown to over 475 entries from over 60
breweries in the state. You can find the style sheets, entry, and bottle forms by clicking

The Home Brew competition has been traditionally the second step in the quest for the
triple crown, known as the "Home Brewer of the Year". This crown is sponsored by
Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. Any brewer in the State of California is eligible for
receive points toward this award. The California State Fair has been conducting this
